I am Junior at Yale studying Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at Yale with interests spanning machine learning, robotics, chip design, and neuroscience.
I'm interested in bridging the gap between natural and artificial intelligence: how minds learn, how agents cooperate, and how computational tools can help us ask better scientific questions. My work brings together neuroscience, machine learning, mathematics, and hands-on engineering. At Yale, I model social cooperation in the Saxena Lab and develop signal-processing tools for asynchronous circuits in the Asynchronous VLSI Lab.
Away from the lab, I'm usually playing or following sports, playing board games with friends, or binge watching a TV show (currently on Game of Thrones).

Studying the underlying neural computations involved in cooperation by connecting the behavior of real rats in a cooperative task with virtual agents behavior in a virtual environment using multi-agent reinforcement learning. Work included building a behavioral analysis pipeline in python using pose-estimation data to study cooperative behaviors and strategies, as well as building and running simulations in our constructed RL environment.

Developed the software for an open source non-invasive, low-cost thermal-camera setup to study the relationship between the optogenetic stimulation of various emotional states and body temperature in mice. Conducted the experimental analysis discovering that mice are in fact “hot-headed” and that aggression is correlated with increased body temperatures. CADed an attachment and programmed a custom miniature camera for a setup that enables us to accurately record the facial expressions in freely-behaving mice for the first time.

Developed an energy and time efficient, signal processing library for asynchronous hardware with applications in brain-computer interfaces by designing and implementing streaming algorithms for matrix multiplication, FFTs, and digital filters in ACT. Working on validating these algorithms with neural-processing pipelines on FPGAs for eventual integration into implantable BCI chips.
Compared deep-learning models for mosquito-larvae classification and helped build an optical experiment for testing in microgravity through the SEES program.

Peer tutor · Introduction to Computer Engineering
Conduct office hours and helped instruct labs for an introductory computer engineering course. Labs largely consisted of programming FPGAs in Verilog.
Peer tutor · Probability Theory
Conduct office hours, review sessions, and one-on-one meetings to help students develop intuition for probability theory concepts such as random variables, conditional probability, expectation, and probabilistic models.
